Swindon Borough Council Launch NEW Design Review Panel

The Design Review Panel is delighted to announce that, following the excellent fedback that we have received since launching the Devon and Somerset Design Review Panel, we have been invited by Swindon Borough Council to launch a NEW independent, impartial and multidisciplinary design review panel in Swindon.

The new Swindon based Design Review Panel will operate on the same basis, and in accordance with the same principles of the existing Devon and Somerset Design Review Panel.

Swindon Bourough Council are hosting a launch event for the new Panel on the 14th July 2016 between 17:30 and 20:00 at the Steam Great Western Railway Museum. The number of places available for attendees is limited, and tickets can be booked on Eventbrite by clicking here ...

David Dewart, Planning Manager at Swindon Borough Council has said:

"Swindon's ambitious growth and regeneration plans are generating a buzz around the town. To capitalise on the attention our town is receiving it is vital that Swindon Borough Council works proactively with developers. Our Planning Committee has given unanimous approval to the setting up of the Swindon Design Review Panel as a vehicle to foster collaboration with developers. The Panel will offer practical advice to developers to help improve schemes coming forward. In so doing, I expect the Panel to add significant value to the development process in Swindon."
