The Design Review Panel has, at the request of the Trees & Design Action Group (TDAG), provided a consultation responce relating to planning conditions.

The TDAG(SW) group will shortly be launching a stakeholder consultation on the subject of the retention/protection of trees on development sites.

This will seek to understand stakeholder experiences in terms of what management systems are effective/ineffective in realising the design and planning intent through to fruition on site. TDAG's intention is to collate the results and ultimately disseminate best practice guidance in this respect, including examples of systems which have previously found to be effective.

Dominic Scanlon, Director and Senior Consultant at Aspect Tree Consultancy, has coordinated and prepared the respose on behalf of the Design Review Panel.
